N8484H, cn 05 (Ship 5) was the fifth 990 built for
Convair/General Dynamics for flight test operations. it was
later refurbished and sold to APSA - Aerolineas Peruanas November
15th 1963 and reregistered as OB-R-768. it would operate with he
airline up till the carrier ceased operation in 1973. Ship 5 was
flow to Tucson, Ariz. August 1973, by 1976 Ship 5 was sold to General
Dynamics and reregistered as N990AC and flow to Marana, Ariz. Ship 5
would later be scrapped. just the cockpit section
remains today in a Tucson boneyard.
